About Us
Fawkner Foot Clinic was opened in 1999 by husband and wife team, Rebecca Jessup and Matthew Oates. Their desire was to provide an affordable, highly skilled podiatric service in the Northern suburbs, as, at that time, such a services was severely lacking.
For the past 20 years Fawkner Foot Clinic has provided continuous, professional foot care to the people of Fawkner and the surrounding suburbs.
In 2002, Rebecca’s mother, Pat, joined the practice and, this year, we are very excited to welcome yet another family member, Ben Dawson, to our team.

What is podiatry?​

Podiatry is the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions and injuries in the lower limb and foot.
These include conditions, such as sporting injuries or trauma as well as management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis and other medical conditions. General skin and nail care forms a core role of the podiatrist.
To become a podiatrist, you need to have completed a 4 year degree qualification through an accredited university, and be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) to practice as a podiatrist in Australia.
